i am assuming that u r a student of ece. U can try M.Tech (CEDT) in IISc Banlgore. U can try in all IITs. U prepare for interviews well, bcoz Some IITs (IIT Kanpur) organizes written tests and interviews also.

I think u will get either VLSi or Communication Systems in one of the IITs. Check cut-offs page in this site once.

VLSi may be called with different names (like Micro Electronics) in different IITs.

Communication Systems may be called Info systems, DSP in different IITs. But they all mean the same.

You can try MS in IIT Madras , you can try for Top 4 NITs also (warangal, Suratkal, Trichy, Calicut). You can try Anna University, Osmania University, Jadavapur University, Andhra University, BHU.

BHU is good INsitute. PLacements will be good. You try to get VLSI in any of these institutes.

I think you may get whatever u want in IIT Chennai. IIT Kanpur is through test and interview. You might get whatever u want in IIT Kharagpur also.

I dont know much about IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay...i think my friends will comment on those IITs.

U can get in IIT kharagpur in VLSI...in my batch i.e 2006 admission, my frnd , rank 127 was the last to get into VLSI.
I think u can get Communications in IIT Madras also.
Donno much abt bombay nd kanpur.

You can get vlsi or embedded systems in iit kharagpur and in iit-m u can get what ever you want. bombay and delhi selection process depends on ur interview performance and gate score. i think u can get communications in IITB.

Since u r EEE student, I advice you to join in CMC itself. You will have better prospects. After doing M.Tech in EEE not many core jobs are available.

hey man...If u get any course in IIT, join... as per ur rank I think ur percentile is around 93.59. so as U r EEE student, U cant get HOTCAKE courses like VLSI, EMBEDDED, COMPUTERS, COMMUNICATIONS. U may get power electronics like courses in NITs (not famous NITs). So as per my suggestion better to for CMC except U get any course in IIT.

and U will not get in top NITs like NIT-warangal, tiruchi, suratkal etc. But surely U get in other NITs.... If possible take VLSI or Embedded in NITs. otherwise its useless....Just go for CMC.

u can try in IITR,IITG there selection is based on test upto 850 rank ppl will be called for that.U can easily get into top 4 NIT's warangal,Trichu,suratkal,calcicut .
u can easily get VLSI in calicut...warangal VLSI not possible as last year cutoff is around 400 i think

U can try in NITs(bhopal, jaipur, krukshetra etc)..

among private universitits U can try in JNTU, Osmania, few in Bangalore(BMS, UVC, SJEC, RV)..
they do also have good placements..

Think first where you will get with this rank?
i don't know exactly. but one thing i can say about job or MTech. if you are getting good specalization of your interest and moreover placement is guranteed then you can go for MTech.
