Hello

The IIT JAM exam will be conducted on the 11th February 2018. You can check the preparation tips for the IIT JAM exam here:

1. Go to the entire IIT JAM syllabus and study according to it.

2. Once you get an idea then start focus on those chapters first and do questions simultaneously so as to cover each and every possible questions on every topic of that chapter. Don't waste time on particular chapter too long.

3. Don't be demotivated and remember coaching never help anyone so if you are not taking coaching then any problem. It's only you who can clear any exam with your hard work.

4.Refer only the best books for the exam and practice from them only. Clear your doubts with your friends or college professors or you can join crash-course where you can solve mock exams and can even clear your doubts.

5. Give mock tests regularly and analyze them to check your weaker areas and then start working on them thoroughly. Practise ,practise, practise,practise .The more you practice questions the better you perform because solving questions helps us to have a clear understanding of that chapter and it also enhances your speed of solving

IIT JAM (Joint Admission Test) is a national level entrance test managed by IITs on rotation basis.

Examination for IIT JAM 2018 will be conducted soon.

 

Registration process for IIT JAM 2018 Examination will be start from 5 August 2017. To appear in exam, you must fill the IIT JAM Online Application form.

The Joint Admission test for M.Sc. (JAM) is an admission test to M.Sc. and other post-B.Sc. programs at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). From the Academic Session 2004 - 2005, IITs have started conducting a Joint Admission test for M.Sc. The main objective of JAM is to provide admissions to various M.Sc., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual degree and other post-B.Sc. programs based on the performance in a single test and consolidate 'Science' as a career option for bright students from across the country. In due course, JAM is also expected to become a benchmark for normalising undergraduate level science education in the country.

The following are the M.Sc. (Two Year)/M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree and other Post-B.Sc. programs at different IITs to which admissions shall be made on the basis of JAM-2009.[1][2]

  • IIT Bombay (IITB): Two-year Master of Science (M.Sc.) programs in: (i) Applied Statistics and Informatics, (ii) Applied Geology, (iii) Applied Geophysics, (iv) Biotechnology, (v) Chemistry, (vi) Mathematics, and (vii) Physics.
  • M.Sc.-Ph. D. Dual Degree programs in: (i) Energy, and (ii) Physics.
  • IIT Delhi (IITD): Two-year Master of Science (M.Sc.) programs in: (i) Chemistry, (ii) Mathematics, and (iii) Physics.
  • IIT Guwahati (IITG): Two-year Master of Science (M.Sc.) programs in: (i) Chemistry, (ii) Mathematics and Computing, and (iii) Physics.
  • IIT Kanpur (IITK): Two-year Master of Science (M.Sc.) programs in: (i) Chemistry, (ii) Mathematics, (iii) Physics, and (iv) Statistics.
  • M.Sc. - Ph.D. Dual Degree program in Physics (Transfer from M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree program to M.Sc. Physics program is not permitted).
  • IIT Kharagpur (IITKgp): M.Sc. - Ph.D. Dual Degree programs in: (i) Chemistry, (ii) Geological Sciences, (iii) Geophysics, (iv) Mathematics and (v) Physics.
  • IIT Madras (IITM): Two-year Master of Science (M.Sc.) programs in: (i) Chemistry, (ii) Mathematics, and (iii) Physics.
