Applications are invited from Indian Nationals residing in India for the award of three Belgium Government Scholarships, of 10 months’ duration for the academic year 2012-2013 in the following subjects fields for specialization

Environmental Science


Applicants should be graduates with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in the related subject. Candidates with Ph.D degree will not be considered, as they cannot have a student status at Flemish Universities.

These scholarships are only valid for higher education institutions/programmes recognised by the Flemish Government (Education and Training Department)

Applicants should be university graduates and can apply for postgraduate or Ph.D programmes

Candidates who already possess Ph.D degree will not be considered for the scholarships as they cannot be enrolled as students in the Flemish higher education system

Intending candidates must submit 2 sets of the application form (in Annex), along with the required attachments (one original file and one copy)

They should clearly indicate for which higher education institution and/or programme they apply

If they have had earlier contacts with the institution concerned, it is advisable to add the co-ordinates of the staff member contacted (name, e-mail address etc) to the application file

Candidates should be younger than 35 years of age as on 01st January, 2013


Accepted scholars will receive a monthly allowance of 840,00 EUR

Reimbursement of the tuition fee to be paid to a Flemish Community institute or to an institute subsidized by the Flemish Community, limited to a maximum amount that will be readjusted annually

An extensive health and third party liability insurance in accordance with Belgian legislation
