Techfest 2010 – the thirteenth edition of IIT Bombay’s Annual International Science and Technology Festival personifies this very ideal with its initiative for this year – the Techfest World Challenge. Conceptualized with the vision of providing a common platform to the budding Indian talent to match their wits with their international counterparts, the World Challenge boasts of 3 international legs happening at Australia, Sri Lanka and Thailand. The World Challenge culminates into the Grand Finale of the First Ever Swarm Robotics Competition in India – A.N.T.Z. With this, Techfest is all set to be Asia’s Largest Technology Extravaganza!!

Techfest, since its inception in 1998, has always endeavoured for the spread of science and technology among the masses. Originally conceptualised to be a platform for the budding scientists and engineers to showcase their talents, Techfest has matured to being acknowledged as the biggest confluence of students, academia and the industry. Techfest 2010 envisions the rapid advancement of the country by identifying and nurturing the indigenous talent.

Continuing with the legacy handed over to it, Techfest 2010 promises you 3 days full of euphoric activity - competitions, exhibitions, distinguished lecture series, workshops, on-the-spot events, awe-inspiring shows at night - an experience fulfilling the holy trinity of science - reason, observation and experience. Techfest 2010 offers you the perfect blend of technology and entertainment, making it a complete package of learning and fun. The time-proven structure of events at Techfest escorts you into the realm of cutting edge technology supplemented by the sublime fields in science, opening new vistas for you and ushering you into a whole new world.

The theme for Techfest 2010 - technological and social progress going hand-in-hand - finds an expression in our initiative for this year, Prayaas - "an effort today for a better tomorrow." It inspires the wide spectrum of competitions Techfest 2010 has in store for you – right from hard-core robotics to simple logic and from structural engineering to designing. Our endeavour for reaching out to the furthest parts of the country will be realized in the form of Nexus to be conducted in the West, East, North, South and the Central Zones in India, the underlying motto being the introduction of unexplored fields of technology to the budding talent in the country. Coming up soon are the distinguished lecture series, arrays of exhibitions, exciting on-the-spot events, unique collection of workshops and mesmerizing night shows at Techfest 2010.
