Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test is conducted by JNT University Hyderabad on behalf of APSCHE

              This examination is the prerequisite for admission into various professional courses offered in Govt/Private colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh

                 Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has delegated the task to JNTUH for conducting the most prestigious entrance examination of Andhra Pradesh-Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) for this year 2012.

This is the 15th time that JNTUH has been assigned this enormous task

Agriculture and Medical Category (AM):

     B.Sc (Ag); B.Sc (Hort); B.V.Sc & Animal Husbandry; B.F.Sc; B.Tech (Food Science and Technology); B.Sc (CA&BM) (Bi.P.C); MBBS; BDS; BAMS; BHMS; BNYS; B.Pharm (Bi.P.C); B.Tech (Bio-Technology) (Bi.P.C); Pharm-D (Bi.P.C)

Engineering Category (E):

   B.E./B.Tech; B.Tech (Ag Engg); B.Tech (Bio-Technology) (M.P.C); B.Tech (Dairy Technology); B.Tech (Food Science & Technology); B.Sc (CA & BM) (M.P.C); B.Pharm (M.P.C); Pharm-D (M.P.C)

Eligibility criteria:

  Candidates satisfying the following requirements shall be eligible to appear for EAMCET

Candidates should be of India Nationality or Persons of India Origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders

Candidates should belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh

        The candidates should satisfy local/non-local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Education Institutions (Regulations of Admission) order, 1974 as subsequently amended

Engineering, Bio-Technology, B.Tech (Dairy Technology), B.Tech (Ag Engineering) and for 50% seats in B.Pharmacy B.Tech (Food Science and Technology (FST)/B.Sc (Commercial Agri & Business Mgt (CA & BM)) Courses:

           Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of Intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) with Mathematics, Physics along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology as optionals or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh along with Bridge course or courses conducted by it for candidates enrolled during 2000-2002 and subsequent batches, or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh, provided that candidates who have passed or appeared for the final year of intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) with Biology, Physics and Chemistry as optionals along with the Bridge course examination in Mathematics conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh shall also be eligible for the Bio-Technology course.

Candidate should obtain at least 45% of marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the subjects specified taken together at 10+2

Proof of satisfying the marks criteria in respect of candidates who appeared for the examination during the year of admission should be furnished at the time of admissions

In the case of Engineering and Pharmacy courses, candidates should have completed 16 years of age, as on 31st December of the year of admission

There is no upper age limit

              In the case of B.Tech (Dairy Technology), B.Tech (Agr Engineering), B.Tech (FST) and B.Sc (CA & BM); candidates should have completed 17 years of as on 31st December of the year of admission and an upper age limit of 22 years for all the candidates and 25 years in respect of SC/STribe candidates as on 31st December of the year admissions

              B.Sc (Agr)/B.Sc (Hort)/B.V.Sc &A.H./B.F.Sc and for remaining 50% seats in B.Tech (FST)/B.Sc (CA & BM) courses: Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of Intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) or any examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh with any two/three of the subjects indicated against each course noted below

With and two of the subjects

B.Sc (Ag); Physical Scineces, Biological or Natural Sciences, Agriculture, Vocational Course in Agriculture

B.Sc (Hort); Physical Sciences, Biological or Natural Sciences, Agriculture, Vocational Course in Agriculture

B.V.Sc & A.H.; Physical Sciences, Biological or Natural Sciences

B.F.Sc; Physical Sciences, Biological or Natural Sciences, Vocational Course in Fishery Sciences

B.Tech (Food Science); Mathematics, Physical Sciences; or Physical Sciences, Biological or Natural Sciences

B.Sc (CA & BM); Mathematics, Physical Sciences; or Physical Sciences, Biological or Natural Sciences

          Irrespective of the subjects taken at the qualifying examination, candidates seeking admission to the above courses should appear for Biology, Physics and Chemistry in EAMCET.

          Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission and an upper age limit of 22 years for all the candidates and 25 years in respect of SC/ST candidates as on 31st December of the year of admissions.

MBBS/BDS Courses:

        Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of the Intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology)/Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology)/Biotechnology at the qualifying examination

In respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC, the marks obtained shall be a minimum of 40% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology)/Biotechnology

Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission

BAMS/BHMS/BNYS courses:

            Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of the Intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology as optional which shall include a practical test in each subject

Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission

There is no maximum age limit for admission into BAMS/BHMS

For admission into BNYS course, candidate should not have completed 22 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission

For SC/ST candidates the maximum age limit shall be extended by 3 years

B.Pharm Course: (remaining 50% of the seats)

    Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of the Intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology optionals, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognized by the University as equivalent thereto

    Candidate should obtain at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the subjects specified taken together in the qualifying examination

   Proof of satisfying the marks criteria in the qualifying examination in respect of candidates who appeared for the examination during the year of admission should be furnished at the time of admissions

Candidates should have completed 16 years of age by the date of commencement of admissions or on such other date as may be notified by the CET Committee

There is no upper age limit

Pharm-D Course:

               Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of Intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology optionals conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognized by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh as equivalent thereto or should have passed or appeared at the final year of the Diploma examination in Pharmacy course conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Board of Technical Education and Training or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Andhra Pradesh State Board of Technical Education and Training

              Candidate should obtain at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the subjects specified taken together in the qualifying examination

Proof of satisfying the marks criteria in the qualifying examination in respect of candidates who appeared for the examination during the year of admission should be furnished at the time of admissions

Candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission to the course

AP on-line/e-Seva/CSC

Visit any of the AP on-line, e-Seva/CSC centers with the following mandatory details

             Hall Ticket number of the qualifying examination E.g. Intermediate Public Examination, CBSE, ICSE, RGUKT etc; name of the candidate; candidate’s father name; date of birth of the candidate; hall ticket number of  S.S.C (10th class); mobile number; stream applying for Engineering(E)  or Agriculture & Medical (AM) or both (E&AM)

Pay the requisite fee and obtain a receipt for registration fee paid and ensure that it contains a Transaction Id

Logon to www.apeamcet.org using the Transaction Id given above; or

Debit/Credit card

If you choose to make payment using debit/credit card mode, go through the Instruction booklet/user guide carefully and be ready with all the required mandatory details given below

Mandatory details

After entering the details above, click on the Make Payment Button and proceed to fill the online application form

During the payment process don’t click the Back/Refresh buttons or don’t close the browser page abruptly

After successful payment through Debit/Credit Card, a Transaction Id is generated and displayed on the screen

Then proceed to fill the online application by clicking the button Proceed to fill on-line application form
