ISRO: PG courses for Indian Institute Of Remote Sensing
Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) under, Department of Space, Government of India is a premier training and educational institute set up for developing trained professional in the field of Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics and GPS Technology for Natural Resources and Disaster Management.
The Indian Institute Of Remote Sensing (IIRS), National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) announces its M Tech, M Sc, PG Diploma, Certificate Courses etc, under various disciplines offered for the year 2010.
Selection procedure: The candidates will be screened based on their basic qualifications. Admission is based on entrance test and interview. The entrance test will be conducted on computer. There will be one paper comprising of Mathematics and Basic Science of Class X, General Computer Knowledge, English Proficiency, Scientific Aptitude test and Questions related to Computer Hardware and Software.
The final selection is based on overall merit of the candidate. Preference will be given to the candidates who have valid GATE certificate. The course will be conducted only if there are minimum five participants. IIRS does not provide any fellowship/ financial assistance to any of its students.
